I’ve been starting to use my slow cooker a lot more these days. It’s starting to get warmer outside every day so the last thing I want to do is heat up my house with the oven on. I honestly have four crock pots because I use them so much. haha! They are my dinnerbestfriends for sure. 😉

I have followed her for a long time and you should too if you haven’t yet. When I read through her recipe for this chicken I knew it would be a winner. And of course, it was!

I actually already have a recipe for BBQ CHICKEN on my blog that’s made in the crock pot. It is delicious but I think this one beats it hands down. I loved the addition of Worcestershire sauce and Italian dressing. It kicked myrecipe up to allkinds of delicious levels. I really love how easy both recipes are.
All you need to do is just throw it in the crock pot on your lunch hour and just a few hours later you will have some tender, yummy barbecue chicken that you can add to anything! Pizzas, sandwiches, salads. You name it!. I went the sandwich route this time. We slathered on lots of this amazing chicken on hamburger buns, then topped it off with slices of pineapple, red onion and cilantro. Talk about heaven! 🙂
TO FREEZE: Cook chicken as instructed. Let cool. Place cooled chicken in two large ziplock bags. Make sure to release as much air possible then seal shut. Place in freezer. Stays good frozen for up to 3 months. To reheat, place frozen bags of chicken in refrigerator to thaw for 24 hours. Then place chicken in a large pot on stove top. Cook over medium heat until fully warmed through.

So Easy! Slow Cooked Crock Pot Bbq Chicken Drumsticks
Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or boneless, skinless chicken thighs. It’s best to avoid dealing with skin and bones to make this recipe simple.
Chicken breasts are leaner, but also don’t pack quite the same amount of flavor as thighs.You can use one or the other or a combination.
Once fully cooked, shred your chicken breast right in the slow cooker with 2 forks in the liquid! This will keep things moist and tasty. Using 2 forks to shred chicken is simple and easy, but some people like to place their cooked chicken breast into a hand mixer and shred that way.

Once your shredded chicken is completely cooled, you can put it in ziplock bags or airtight containers in 1 or 2 cup portions (depending on how much you think you’ll use at a time), and store in the freezer.
Store leftover BBQ chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave in 30-second increments until warmed through.
