Do you ever make dinner and think to yourself, oh-my-goodness-this-is-the-best-chicken-I’ve-ever-made?!?!?! It’s rare for me. Especially because I’m not a huge fan of chicken breasts – they always end up slightly dry and not overly flavourful. But oh my word, this creamy garlic parmesan chicken is melt in your mouth delicious. I’ve already made it twice in the last week – the chicken is juicy and the creamy parmesan topping tastes soooooo good!
You may be thinking, “Mayonnaise!? On my chicken!?” because let’s face it, it’s not something we normally associate with chicken. But the answer is: YES! You won’t regret it. The mayo and parm mixture tastes amaaaaazing.
Skillet Chicken Parmesan
Back when I was a teenager, my mom would mix together mayonnaise and parmesan cheese, put it on top of our broccoli, asparagus, or whatever other vegetables we were having, and then we’d broil it for a few minutes until it was golden, creamy and delicious. It tasted sooooo good as a sauce for our vegetables. So I was thinking, “Hey, can we try that on chicken!?” And yes, my friend – Yes you can!
Yes! You can easily double the recipe (or half it) if you need to. As written, if everyone eats 1 chicken breast, it will make enough for 4 people.
This will depend on the size of your chicken breasts. Ours were medium to large sized boneless, skinless chicken breasts and I baked them for about 45 minutes at 375F.

I tend to bake my chicken breasts longer than a lot of other recipes say to, but I’m also super paranoid about having raw chicken so I make sure it’s completely cooked through (and then I cook it another 5 minutes… just to be safe…).
The creamy garlic parmesan sauce seals the moisture into the chicken, so even if you bake them for a little longer than other websites say to, they should still be moist and tender.
It tastes great served with mashed potatoes, and any of your favourite green vegetables. We like it with roasted asparagus, and a simple garden salad.

Cover the chicken breasts with the cheese mixture as much as you can. Not only does it allow as much flavour as possible to get into the chicken breasts, but it also helps seal the moisture in so the chicken doesn't dry out when baking.

Alternatively, you could thickly slice both sweet onions and tomatoes and lay them out on your baking sheet. Then place the chicken on top and bake.
Set your air fryer to 375F and cook for 16-19 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through but still juicy and tender.
While this chicken is super delicious, unfortunately it is one dish that does not freeze well so I don’t recommend freezing leftovers.

If you’ve seen all the chicken recipes on the site you’d know chicken is my meat of choice, but I just feel like there are so many things you can do with it and it’s always so good! You can bake it, fry it, shred it, use it in soups, add it to a casserole, or just enjoy it on its own!
This recipe is for a baked chicken, and it has the most flavorful, creamy mayo and parmesan mixture on top. I was surprised how tasty it was the first time I made it!
Parmesan Mayo Chicken
Prep time takes under 5 minutes and then you can throw it in the oven for a while (my favorite kind of recipe).
Simply place chicken breasts inside a greased 9×13 pan. Mix together the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and garlic powder, and spread over the tops of each chicken breast. Sprinkle on more Parmesan cheese, if desired, and bake for 40-45 minutes. Easy peasy!
More crunch. You can also add a little more crunch by adding some bread crumbs or Panko on top along with the parmesan cheese.
Parmesan Mayo Crusted Chicken Recipe By Courtney Budzyn
You can just as easily make this tasty mayo parmesan chicken in the slow cooker! Place the parmesan coated chicken in an oiled crockpot on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
Refrigerate this Mayo Parmesan Chicken for up to 4 days. Any longer just store them in the freezer. Individually wrap chicken breasts in waxed paper or parchment. Place into freezer bags. Remove as much air as possible from bags seal, label and freeze for up to 4 months.
To reheat: Allow the chicken to thaw in the fridge for at least 8 hours, The chicken doesn’t need to be completely thawed, but must not be frozen solid.
