Evaporated Milk Bar Recipes
Sweetened condensed milk Chocolate Chip Bars are the perfect recipe when you’re looking for a rich dessert for birthdays and holidays, or any time of year.
Sweetened condensed milk is one of my absolute favorite ingredients. I could honestly just lick the can and be happy; but, adding it to a recipe always makes dessert better.
This recipe reminds me a lot of Hello Dolly Bars, but with more of a cookie, shortbread taste. The sweetened condensed milk chocolate chip bars are rich and filling like a Hello Dolly Bar.
Easy Fudge Recipe (3 Minutes In Microwave)
Sweetened condensed milk recipes are easy to make and always turn out amazing. Any type of cookie bars with chocolate chips are going to be a hit at parties, church potlucks, or office gatherings.
If you forget to set out the butter on the counter to soften, you can microwave the butter for about 15 seconds.
Or, take a large glass and run it under some hot water. Once it’s hot, set it on top of the stick of butter, and in a few minutes, you’ll have some soft butter!
Easy Chocolate Caramel Bars
I have a setting on my convection/microwave oven that will soften butter and I end up using that all the time because I forget to set the butter out.
You can also microwave the chips and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl in increments of 30 seconds if you don’t want to use a saucepan.
Add the pecans (or walnuts) and chocolate chips to the crumbled mixture and stir together. You can also dice the pecans smaller to make it even more crumbly.

Oreo Cookie Bars
Hi Amy! Thanks! They are super addictive. :) If I hadn't given some of this batch away, I would have eaten every one.I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that our little family has recently moved, and although we didn’t move far (only about 10 minutes from where we were living previously), it kind of threw us into a different area in terms of grocery store, restaurant and pizza options. That means we’re ordering pizza from multiple locations to see which one we like the best, figuring out which places are the best for take out, and, maybe most importantly, I’m trying to orient myself with a different grocery store so that it doesn’t take me two hours to shop.
The week that we moved in, my mom was here helping us unpack and she ran out to the grocery store to pick up a few things for us. She stopped at a local bakery on her way back to get an assortment of sweets and, oh my gosh, talk about insane. I had been to the bakery before, but I forgot how amazing the desserts are. I couldn’t stop eating their chocolate caramel bar, which is a five-layer bar, which is basically a magic bar on steroids. I immediately tried to figure out how to recreate it at home.
My first attempt was a disaster, but this next one was fabulous and I think it’s pretty darn close to those insanely delicious bars. The base is a brown sugar shortbread crust, on top of which I poured a can of sweetened condensed milk, a la magic bars. I then topped the milk with chopped pecans, coconut, caramel and chocolate chips. They’re not quite as epic-looking as the ones from the bakery, but they are every bit as delicious.

If you have a major sweet tooth, this next dessert recipe is for you. It’s called Magic Cookie Bars, and let me tell you… It has become a new favorite around these parts!
Recipe For Peanut Butter Granola Bars
It’s a layered bar dessert with a chocolate chip cookie base, layers of chocolate and butterscotch chips, coconut, and sweetened condensed milk which gives it that gooey, delicious taste that is irresistible.
The reason I love it so much is because it’s so simple and tastes like a million bucks. In fact, I made it for a Pizza Night at the park we planned a while ago and I had several people asking for the recipe. So go on, give it a shot! You’ll be glad you did.
COOKIE CRUST. In a large bowl mix cookie mix, butter and eggs until well combined and dough forms. Press into the bottom of a greased 13×9 pan. Bake for 14-16 minutes.
Lemon Bars With Sweetened Condensed Milk
LAYER. Once done baking, sprinkle butterscotch chips over the cookie layer, along with milk chocolate chips and coconut. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top.*
*Caution: Be cautious that you do not accidently use evaporated milk instead of sweetened condensed milk. The two are quite different and your dessert will not turn out.
Mix it up: Everyone makes their magic bars slightly different, so feel free to switch up what you put in there. You can use white chocolate chips, toffee, cinnamon, walnuts, almonds, graham cracker crumbs. Whatever you feel will make these cookies MAGICAL!
Gooey Cake Mix Cookie Bars
You could even make it a millionaire magic bar, which is a crossbreed between a millionaire bar and magic bar. Use a shortbread crust instead of chocolate chip cookie crust and then add all the layers from the magic cookie bar recipe.
These don’t need to be STORED in the fridge unless you really want to. They should be fine in an airtight container for about 3-5 days. If they are in the fridge they can last up to a week.
You can also FREEZE them! They make really great treats for lunch boxes or a great treat for mom and dad after kids have gone to bed (shhh!) Make sure that you let them cool completely. Wrap each bar with plastic wrap and place them together in an air-tight bag in the freezer.
