Best Bourbon Eggnog Recipe
Easy Bourbon Eggnog takes the classic eggnog cocktail and adds the right level of spice and warmth. Top with nutmeg and cinnamon for an indulgent and festive cocktail!
Easy Bourbon Eggnog has been my answer to the Eggnog Cocktail for quite sometime. I love bourbon in anything baked (like this Pear Galette) and anything remotely creamy.
I don’t like bourbon straight. Mixing it with creamy ingredients, like eggnog :), takes the edge off and that burning sensation away.

This cocktail is apart of the #FBCConnectingOverCocktails collaboration. You might remember this Spiked Iced Tea or Pisco Sour from previous collaborations. A bunch of Canadian bloggers get together and pick a theme for everyone to have fun with.

I picked this Easy Bourbon Eggnog because I’ve made a promise to myself to make the holiday season as easy as possible. More fun and less stress.
Holiday Eggnog Taste Off
Anything that can be made delicious and quickly has my name on it. I want moments and memories with my loved ones (that involve tasty food and drinks obviously) and tons of time in the kitchen without actually seeing anyone.
Mostly because I can make a big batch of it and let guests pour for themselves, while still maintaining a level of festiveness, socializing, and entertaining.
How easy is this cocktail? 2 ingredients and about 4 minutes in total. It’s so simple, but will convince people that they now like bourbon too. (Just give it a chance!)
The Best Eggnog Recipe
I know that eggnog and spice rum are supposed to be BFFs, but really, bourbon is eggnog’s “person”. Yes, I just referenced a Grey’s Anatomy line in a cocktail post. So that’s my life in a nut shell.
Mom of twins, a singleton, and wife to a hungry husband. The food demands that surround me, have pushed me to lead our food life more simply, nutritiously, and deliciously. It’s a good day when family, friends, and food intersect. This Bourbon Eggnog recipe is easy to make and even easier to sip! My dad has been whipping up his famous Blender Eggnog every Christmas for as long as I can remember. When I was little, he’d set aside a cup of eggnog without alcohol for me to sip along with the adults.
Secretly Vegan Eggnog Recipe (dairy Free, Nut Free)
Eggnog seems to be one of those love or hate it kinds of drinks, and I hope today I can bring some of you haters into the “love it” camp.
The truth is, I understand the hate. The first time I tried store bought eggnog (which was well into adulthood), I wasn’t a fan. It was way too thick, very sweet, and lacked flavor. It hardly seemed worth the calories.
I also love adding some freshly grated nutmeg on top. The scent of it as you take the first sip is heavenly. You can use a microplane grater to grate nutmeg, but I was gifted this nutmeg grinder a few years ago, and it’s a super fun (and fancy) gadget to get out around the holidays.
Amazingly Good Eggnog Recipe
Let’s talk about raw eggs for a sec. I realize the idea of an uncooked eggnog might worry some of you. The risk of getting sick from eating raw eggs in the U.S. is very low, but here are some things you can do to lower or completely eliminate any risk.
Eggnog will keep for up to a week in an airtight container in the fridge. I find it actually gets better as it sits!

How To Make The Perfect Bourbon Eggnog
Eggnogis great around the holidays, but homemade eggnogis even better. Despite common misconceptions, made-from-scratch eggnog is not difficult or time-consuming. This eggnog with bourbon recipe will show you just how easy and delicious eggnog can be, and you can use it to keep the holiday tradition alive.
Eggnog is typically made with eggs, sugar, spices, and a base liquor (traditionally rum or brandy) and there are many eggnog recipes available. Theorigins of eggnogcan be traced back to the 17th century, and it has been a Christmas favorite ever since.
A whiskey-based eggnog like this one is best with agood, spicy bourbon. The flavors of the bourbon pair well with the holiday spices and create interesting layers of flavor. This recipe also features a little cognac and brandy-based orange liqueur (e.g., Grand Marnier) to create even more dimension. In many respects, this is not your average eggnog.

This recipe is straightforward to make and is far better than any prepared eggnog you will find at the market. It is delicious, flavorful, and a great way to impress friends and family during the holiday season.

Creamy Eggnog Recipe
Millions of people have survived drinking eggnog and other egg drinks and it is very rare that anyone gets sick from the eggs alone (eggnog-induced hangovers do not count!). However, it is understandable if you're a bit wary of drinking raw eggs. Put your mind at ease and know that there are a few things you can do to make sure your eggs are safe. If you like, you can even choose an egg substitute (though the drink really isn't the same).
If the thought really does bother you, skip the eggnog completely! There are many other traditional Christmas drinks that you can mix up instead.
We often hear the horror stories and running jokes about someone having a little too much eggnog at the Christmas party. It may surprise you to learn that the average eggnog is actually quite light (unless, of course, you add too much liquor).
